Our business

Our 150+ subsidiaries in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia and Oceania Pacific handle functions such as sales, purchasing, logistics and distribution. The main group focus is wholesale and distribution but we also manufacture our own equipment.

Products
Our product range mainly consists of cooling components, air conditioning units and heat pumps. Our main suppliers are Toshiba, Carrier, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Danfoss and Bitzer. Environmentally friendly products using natural refrigerants manufactured in-house also feature in our product range.

Geographical presence
The Group employs approximately 5,500 employees in 45 countries. The head office is located in Malmö. With wholly owned companies in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia and Oceania, Beijer Ref is the world’s largest global refrigeration wholesaler.

Customers and market
Commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, and comfort cooling (HVAC) are Beijer Ref’s main sales markets. As an example of our place in the market, an end users requirement for refrigeration in their restaurant or grocery store, or air conditioning in their home would go through an installer. This installer would be our customer, purchasing their cooling equipment and ancillaries from Beijer Ref.

Distribution
With logistics centres at the heart of every market, Beijer Ref distributes products mainly through its own branch network of 500+ branches. In addition to this, Beijer Ref owns six refrigerant filling stations.
