Beijer Ref is a driving force in the work of providing the market with products that meet both current and future needs and has for several years built up a business in so-called OEM, where the products are mainly based on environmentally friendly and natural refrigerants such as CO2, ammonia and propane. We are noticing an ever-increasing demand from the market to replace and upgrade its refrigeration systems to comply with regulatory regulations, and the segment is growing in importance for Beijer Ref every year.
Over the years, we have built up a unique technical know-how in natural refrigerants. It is a knowledge that we would like to share. That is why we have also established training centers – called Beijer Ref Academy – in a number of places around Europe and Asia. There we can inform, show and let our customers and partners see in practice how to work to create positive changes for the environment through new technology. It is an initiative that we are proud to be able to offer, and we will gradually open more training centers on all of the continents where we are present today.
The transition to the market for environmentally friendly refrigeration technology is still in its beginning. Therefore, we will increase the production capacity of our OEM production as time goes on. The closer we get to 2030, when 2015 levels of F-gases will have been reduced by 79 percent in the EU, the more intensive the conversion to new technology will be. It is up to us to be properly equipped to be able to participate in and deliver products and solutions for a market that undoubtedly goes in a green direction.
